RIGHTS MANAGED (RM)
The Rights Managed products are licensed in a specific use base and previously agreed between Imageplus and the client.
The price for use of the images is calculated in base of many factors, like:
- Type of usage(s);
- Period of time in which the image will be used ( 1 year, one time, forever);
- Distribution territory (national, regional, international);
- Exclusive or non-exclusive.
The exclusive rights may be available for some of the images. With that option, the buyer has exclusive use for an image, under the agreement terms. The terms can affect the use, the media, the territory and/ or duration in which the image can be used by other buyers. The price for this type of license depends on the impose terms by the client and can involve the previous contact of the images original author.
In case you want to acquire the non-exclusive rights, the buyer pays a license each time he uses an image. But other buyer can acquire the same image under the same license.
In any case, the use of the images under RM regime is subjects to specific licensing rules.
For the users/clients that have the RM easy download service (High-Res image files up to A3 - 300dpis for layout only), we would like to remind that the usage of these images are only for layout purposes, which means if the user wants to use/license it for any of its campaigns, he needs to check availability first with any Imageplus sales executive and if available, acquire the image license by paying its fee.

ROYALTY FREE (RF)
Royalty Free (RF) means a rights free use by a user that pays only once for the image that he’ll be able to use in multiple personal projects and with no time limitations.
Royalty Free images can be acquired individually or in theme collections, in CD or Virtual CD (VCD). The price of a Royalty Free image is based only in the image size that the buyer needs. The buyer will not have to pay any extra royalties in an use base. However and like all Imageplus licenses, the given rights are for the licensed buyer personnel use and aren’t transmittable. This means that if a RF product is used in a work derivated from the licensed buyer for a third party, this last can’t use the licensed product from the initial Project. The Royalty Free licenses are always non exclusives. In any way, the use under RF can be subjected to specific licensing rules, depending of each suppliers.

EDITORIAL
Editorial rights are licensed on a use-by-use basis. Use in an "editorial" manner means use relating to events that are newsworthy or of public interest. If you wish to use an image or film from our editorial collection for a non-editorial use, you must contact a sales representative to assist you.
